Anti Blocking Agent Polyolefins is an important additive in processing film and sheet grades in olefins manufacturing.

Anti blocking agents reduce the tendency of layers of films to stick together in tightly wound reels / stacked sheets. Anti block with Anti slip shows positive synergetic effect on final slip and anti blocking properties.

They modify the surface of film, to reduce the co- efficient of friction and tendency towards blocking.

Commonly used Anti blocking agents are talc (special grades) and silica (special grades) . Talc by term is a wide range of minerals and mostly hydrous magnesium silicates (approx. 31.7 % Mgo. 63.5% Sio 2 , 4.2 % H 2 o) and hydrous Aluminum silicates (approx.19 % Al 2 o 3 , 65 % Sio 2 ).

Depend on the application various structure of talc are used. In case of polymer sheet and film application the talc used contains Aluminum substituted for Magnesium in different proportion.
